Julian Hodge Bank obtained authorised status under the Banking Act in 1987. This event however belies the Group's pedigree in that it was nurtured from the same stable that created Chartered Trust and the Bank of Wales. All three institutions were founded by Sir Julian Hodge whose activities since the 1950's are widely acknowledged as having been the catalyst behind the development of the dynamic financial services sector that now exists in South Wales.

In recent years the Group has provided a broad range of financial products and services to corporate customers. The Group does not offer a "one stop" financial shop but delivers complementary corporate products in a seamless manner, to maximise the value of each relationship.
