As part of our commitment to helping within the community, the Jane Hodge Foundation has over many years helped support Charitable organisations in a variety of different ways. Charities that have benefited from the Foundations support have included those involved in health, education, and social issues. The following organisations have received support from the Foundation over recent months.
Julian Hodge Institute of Applied Macroeconomics.
The Foundation has recently sponsored the creation of this new Institute based at the Cardiff Business School. The Institute led by Professor Patrick Minford(one of the UK's leading Economic advisers) has been created to give Wales a unique economic research facility, to help support both Wales and the UK's future economic development. The Foundation has pledged to support the Institute with funding over a 5 year period. The Julian Hodge Institute in Applied Macroeconomics was launched at an official opening at Cardiff University at the end of June 1999.

Cardiff Theatre-Going Improved For Visually Impaired
Visually impaired people in Cardiff will have increased access to the theatre thanks to the installation of a new infra red hearing system at The Sherman Theatre.
The system - bought with £10,000 donated by Julian Hodge Bank through the Jane Hodge Foundation - is available as either a headset or a necklace for customers wishing to have amplified sound or listen to an audio description of the performance.
The first ever audio described performance using the new system "Caitlin" - a show about the life and times of Dylan Thomas' wife was recently held at a gala premiere.
To mark the occasion members of Cardiff Institute for the Blind attended to put the new system through its paces.
